Contribuição Brasileira na Bienal Cigré 2010

Participando da seção conjunta do SC B5 – Proteção e Controle e do SC B2 – Sistemas de Informação e Telecomunicação, eu apresentei uma contribuição brasileira para o Special Report Preferential Subject 1: “Practical implementation of IEC61850 in Electric Power Systems”, respondendo a pergunta.



Segue o resumo da contribuição:



The IEC61850 solutions can take us some problems if utilities, system integrators, manufacturers or commissioning and testing teams are not prepared. The implementation of the architecture with the new technology requires a considerable effort to coordinators of substation protection, control and communication.
The new IEC61850 architecture is based on a set of modern technologies and concepts:
• The use of Object Oriented technologies
• The use of Extensible Markup Language (XML)
• The specification of abstract services
• The extensive use of Ethernet technology
• The specification of standard validation procedures.
The implementation of these technologies introduces significant advantages such as reducing the number of technologies, the potential increase of the system functionality and projects with integration and simplified maintenance.

In Brazil, efforts are made to organize job teams integrating the work of specialists from different companies and vendors including protection, control, maintenance and communication.
New techniques for validation of control and protection systems based on new technologies has been studied, structured and implemented as:
• Distance remote tests using the substation communication system
• Interoperability testing of different manufacturers IEDs
• Systems testing with full implementation of IEC61850 process bus and station bus)
